What Does A Business Broker Do?
Simple as it sounds a Business Broker sells businesses. Just look in the Yellow Pages. From A-Z those are our clients. Every day thousands of businesses change hands. And the process is both exciting, unusual and rarely ever the same. We work with both sellers and buyers and both need expert counseling. This, normally is a first time event for both. We are paid commissions based on the selling price of the business.
The Ideal Associate Broker Candidate
There is no such thing. Successful people in this business come from varied backgrounds. One becomes good in this business because they like working with people and have persistence. This is one of the most respected professions because of the knowledge each associate has and their ability to put sellers and buyers together with business transactions that make sense. Since we are paid on commission each Associate must be self sustaining for a year or more. You will work from home and must have basic computer skills, a computer, printer, scanner, copier and cell phone. Business Brokers and Associates must be licensed under the Department of Real Estate. However, training can be received while studying for this license.
Training
Training is an integral part of your new career with us. There are both in-house and field training which will cover all aspects of the business brokerage business. Once you have sold many small businesses you may want to move up to larger candidates and we have the ability to lead towards those type of sales.
Territory
Right now we are concerned with finding Associates in the city of San Francisco and Alameda County. Training classes will start soon.
